ABOUT KLESIS

Klesis, the Greek word for divine invitation, perfectly captures what we're all about. College is an incredible time for asking life's big questions like, 'Does God exist?' or 'What's the meaning of it all?' And amidst the sea of invitations that come your way, we're extending one that's truly special.

We're a bunch of students and mentors from all walks of life, brought together by our life-changing experiences with the gospel. Every week, we gather to dive into the Bible, make a positive impact in our community, and navigate the ups and downs of college together. Here, you'll find a welcoming space to ask your burning questions, seek answers, and make friends that will last a lifetime. Whether you're a Christian or just curious, we want to invite you to be a part of this incredible journey with us!

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
— Acts 2:42-47

Meet our mentors

Many of us are UCD grads working around the area (as programmers, recruiters, data analysts, healthcare professionals and more), and we all love mentoring college students at Klesis! Why? Because college was that tumultuous journey for us as it is for most college students — but with the experience and care of spiritual guides in our boat, we made it through the journey by deepening our relationships, forging convictions, and living out our true identity and purpose in a relationship with God. As the challenges of the college journey have only increased in the past few year, we’re here to help students looking for a place of belonging and support.
